Brazilian, explained

Brazilian is the intimate-area service people mean when they want more than the hair that shows beside a swimsuit. At Bonita Laser it is a separately priced appointment from Bikini Line, not a marketing name for the same visit. The listed price is $70 per session. The job of this page is to say what that money is for, how the appointment actually runs, and when Bikini Line is the better match instead.

Clinics and salons do not all draw the same map. Rather than borrow those labels, we treat Brazilian as the larger intimate service on our list: the bikini line, the front pubic area, and any further coverage you and the technician agree on before the handpiece starts. If a previous salon used a different diagram, tell us.

This is also an appointment about logistics. You will be asked to shave the treatment area about 24 hours beforehand — not to wax or tweeze. Positioning and draping are handled so that only the agreed skin is exposed. If you are switching from a waxing routine, plan the last wax far enough ahead (about four weeks) that hair is present for laser.

Hair here is often dense and the skin is sensitive. Cooling on the Soprano ICE Platinum handpiece is why many clients describe warmth rather than a sharp snap, but comfort is individual. Ingrown hairs after waxing are a frequent reason people look at laser. Reducing treated follicles can change that pattern over a course of visits.
